Morning Computiac. hey that would be neat.
Got an interesting story related to that. When you get a PET scan they inject you with radioactive sugar water & the cancer draws the radiation to it since it uses energy & sugar powers it.
Right before you go info the scan, you have to empty your bladder & flush 2X (because of the radiation)
So one time I went & turned the light off. The guy saw I did that through the space at the bottom of the door & he asked why. I said I wanted to see if it glowed. He laughed....and then asked me "well, did it?"
It doesn't BTW
Well, this is comforting
IRS says you were screwed even before the Equifax hack - CNET
And the irony of all this is they were awarded a Govt contract....AFTER they announced the breachSince it was announced in September, we've learned the company, which collects and profits from our private financial data whether we agree to it or not, poorly managed its computers, may have executives that committed insider trading, and has been shockingly negligent while informing the public.
Morning HG Thank you for the good thoughts.
Nah, the dye is different from what they inject you with for a PET scan.
The dye is used for CT's to light up your insides & make things more visible.
For a PET scan they inject you with a saline/sugar solution infused with radioactivity. Since cancer has a high energy rate, the sugar goes straight to the cancer. You have to sit still for 45 mins, you're not allowed near anyone as you can irradiate them, & then you empty your bladder & get scanned.
The radiation is engineered to dissipate about 2 hrs after you get the injection.
My Wife & the tech were standing about 20 FT away from me & he whipped out a radiometer & my Wife says it was going about 1/2 way up the scale.
Nuclear science....weird eh?
