OK, so from what I perused someone infiltrated their ranks & inserted the malicious software? Crazy world.

Avast are blaming Piriform. They are saying the servers were compromised before the buyout.

Yup I read the same thing Keith. But what I didn't know, was when the user installed CCleaner 5.34 OR CCleaner Cloud 1.07.3214 updates, that they removed the Floxif malware if it was still there. So even if the user didn't run MB or any other similar program, the updated CCleaner removed it anyhow.

Just a side note. Defender this morning in an auto run found the Floxif in an installer I had on another drive in an archive, and poofed it! :)
