I have to get an MRI, so this is going to be fun contacting the ins & the approval place to get it expedited since I need to get a pre-auth. I can let the doc do it but they don't know the ins system (ours) like I do so it'll be quicker & more efficient if I do it.

I'm not looking forward to going in 2 hrs early to pick up the Redi-Cat. They won't let you take it home anymore. Like anyone could abuse that.

Well, a bit of a PIA but all I need is the ref number once things go through. Once it's been approved & I have that number I'm in the clear.

Last year I had to get a MRI & the lady at that docs office had the good sense to write the ref number down. So when I got the statement saying they wouldn't pay because a pre-auth wasn't given, she had the number to throw back in their faces & say it was indeed approved. They ended up covering it, but I think they might have been trying to see if no one saved the number for proof. Maybe not, but it makes you wonder.
