Yeah, we get those too. I finally got a UPS a few years back when they would conveniently happen while I was in the middle of doing homework/class assignments.

BTW HG, I saw the advice on the metal roof. Yeah, if it's a big investment might be good to stay the way it is. It does have a steep pitch & who knows how long we'll be here. My Wife who works with someone knowledgeable in contractors is going to ask him for recommendations on a roofer. There are about 20 listed in the book so she'll just ask him which ones he recommends.

So I'm guessing you got a UPS to compensate for the brown outs? They are pretty good price wise nowadays. Got mine at Staples for $45. It only has power for about 30 mins after the power quits, but that's more then enough time to save my work & shut the PC down.
