Good morning, Kari, and thanks for the explanation.The script in UUPtoISO tool creates the ISO label according to information extracted from UUP files. This is the part of the script that labels the ISO:
<Snip>
To put it simple, the OEMRET only means that the ISO is OK to be used in OEM as well as Retail installs / upgrades, and when used for clean install it can be activated with both OEM and Retail licenses. If you do an ISO from a volume licenced OS like Enterprise, the name includes acronym VOL instead:
16257.1000.170728-1630.RS_PRERELEASE_CLIENTENTERPRISE_VOL_X64FRE_EN-US.iso
This acronym for OEM/Retail or Volume licensing affects the functionality of ISO in none whatsoever way.
If the acronym OEMRET extracted from information in UUP files disturbs you geeks, just let me know and I change ISO labelling to something not so mysterious like "W10_ISO_Made_with_TF_UUPtoISO_tool_x64.iso". However, I have deliberately chosen to keep default Windows naming policy, letting ISO images to be labelled with full build, language and bit architecture information.
I had never thought this might become an issue!
Kari
