I was supposed to fly out of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport at 6:20 PM MST. We were held at the gate for 50 minutes then we taxied out a tad to the tarmac and spent another two hours there we left 3+ hours late and did not arrive in Cleveland till 3:30 AM. Now we had to take a shuttle from Tucson that took almost 2 hours so I was actually sitting from 2:15 PM MST till 3:30 AM EST . Ever stay in a Plane with the engines off in 102 Degree temperature? The only good that came out of this other than the plane not crashing is that I got free beer and Jack. But when I got off the plane I had to have a wheel chair as my knees were shot, Oh and there was a flood in Tucson due to the monsoon. 2 foot high water in the street. The reason we were delayed was weather east of Phoenix. Every eastbound flight was grounded. It was so windy on the tarmac that the 737-700 was wobbling side to side. I had very little sleep so that is why I can't keep up.
Oh, you poor thing, you! I've seen things like this on the news, but never someone I "know"!
I forgot you were in Arizona, and wouldn't have guessed at your problems in a million years!
Gotta ask one question, though . . . Was it the beer or the Jack that caused your knees to buckle? Attachment 145449
Seriously, Josey, I know about sitting too long with my knees bent . . . my left one doesn't want to straighten, and it hurts like a sunnagun when I force it to straighten out.
I had surgery on my right knee so I favored it for a tad and know my left knee hurts along with my back neck shoulder and arthritis. The Jack and Beer helped me maintain my sanity. The poor girl sitting next to me at be be at work in a Hospital in two hows from the time we landed.
I am going to go Good night all of you nice folks even those that ignore me,,
