@COMPUTIAC - I just found a "flaw" in VPNUnlimited, if you want to call it that.
I got an email from Office Depot (having a Flash Sale) and wanted to look at it, so clicked on the link. I got a message that I didn't have permission to go to Office Depot! Do what!?!? I kept trying, but kept getting denied access.
As we know, VPNUnlimited chooses different IP Addresses every so often. The latest one was in Australia, and I figured that it was VPNUn denying access, so I changed it to one in Texas and got right in to Office Depot!
Go figure . . . Them Aussies are a tad bit cranky about http: vs https! All I can figure. I wouldn't go to just any old site with only http:, but I'm pretty sure Office Depot is OK.
If you leave it set to let the VPN use the best choice, you will have a problem.
If you choose a server close to you almost all sites will work normally.
Otherwise you will have to use the white list option and add the site to it.
I had to remove VPN from my 'puter as the cable co. continues to throttle my speed
no matter how I try to configure it.
I have tried three other VPN's also and the same thing happens.
It takes 5 to 10 minutes for the cable co.'s system to catch it, then they cut my speed drastically.
I've gone from 65 down to 10 in a flash mostly, other times its 25 to 30 down.
I don't think they are getting anything from hackers.
I did call then and of course they denied doing anything to my connection. I sent an email
with pic's of before and after VPN was enabled, at first they said it was something I was doing wrong.
Then blamed the VPN provider. I went back 'n forth with the VPN people and no matter what they suggested
I change for settings, it didn't work.
I have no idea what else I can do to make a VPN work.
If a total of four different VPN's cut my speed as a final result, it has to be the cable co.
