Does anyone know if RAM upgradable by user?

This new "surface laptop" to be released by Microsoft : https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/stor...ro_PreOrderNow

This compared to Apple's Mac Book Air in versility and in every otherway.

Though one could upgrade up to 16GB RAM at the time of ordering, I would like to know if I as user could upgrade the RAM myself on a later date should I wish to do so?

I know that in Apple's Mac Book Air the RAM is soldered on to the board and user cannot change the RAM.

Does any one have an idea on the above subject RAM in this new device and user upgradability?

Any opening of the "laptop" other then a professional, is considered voiding the terms, so better do it NOW or wait until the Lappie no longer covered in Denmark that is 2 years if nothing else is stated
    MS site says 1 year
    No user upgrades
CPU SSD and Ram are soldered to the MB

I am pretty sure its soldered to the mainboard now just like Apple. So, if you think you might ever need the extra ram, you have to pay for it on day 1. And I don't think you can get 16GB either with the core i5, you have to get an i7.
