Is Edge the best browser ever?

feel free to move this if it belongs somewhere else. I'm still getting a feel for this place

I used Firefox for years but it got slower and more bloated with every update to the point where it got to be unusable. I don't know what's going on over at Mozilla but it's like they dipped it in the gooiest tar they could find and then stuck it in the freezer. more like Tirefox?

Chromium is my other choice for when I'm using something that doesn't support Edge, like Win7 or Linux. but ever since Edge got addons I switched and haven't looked back - it's snappy and silky smooth even on low-spec hardware. my Celeron-based Thinkpad chokes on FF but runs Edge perfectly...it's great. my *only* gripe is that there's no "Google lookup" option when right-clicking on selected text, but it's not a dealbreaker.

some may object to Edge being closed-source and lacking any customization options, but personally I like the no-bullshit aspect of just being able to fire it up and have my eyeballs on my webpages right when I click them. What do you all think of Edge?

Personally I'm an Edge fan boy.....but each to their own.

Tairiku.....you did not mention Googles latest vulnerability to phishing attacks previously posted by your learned self just five days ago......or the new safety features inbuilt in the Creator release.

Try K-Meleon 76 RC, it is very light and you can search using right click.

I would use AOL over EDGE.

Edge is my default and I use it 98% of the time. I have Edge, FireFox, Iron Browser and Tor installed.

I just got back into the Insider program and dual booting with 8.1. Using Edge to test until my patience runs out with it. It's kind of buggy in Insider build. Tab thumbnails permanently hanging down. Closes from time to time, but so does IE from time to time. Buggy build there.

It is quicker as MS claims. I like the concept of it being integrated in the OS, but I'm afraid it's got a ways to go yet to be my permanent browser. It'll get there some day I'm sure.

Best ever? Depends on who you talk to obviously. I was boldly implanted in Internet Explorer until
it just got stupid with more versions and updates that crash and burn. Been using Firefox for quite
a while and I must say it works, for me, beautifully. Most people don't like change but I'm open for
anything to try because I always have backup ISO images to fall back on if FUBAR occurs.
But, NO, Edge is not the best browser. IMHO only. (I removed Edge from my system.)

I have Edge, came with my windows 10 computer and I don't like it, never use it. Also have IE11 and Firefox, been using Firefox for most things on a daily basis.
