    Have any of you ever received this, from any destination? I am 99% sure its fake but have sent it to


    We are here informing you that your computer that has installed any iobit software from any time
    period has now been set to lock your computer and all files. This can be stopped by paying a fee to
    us in the specified time frame of 7 days of this notice April 5, 2017. Failure to pay a fee of $300
    within the time given will result in data loss of any and all computers or other devices that installed iobit software and termination of any licenses with us. The money is requested in Bitcoin (BTC) to this address 1fnsHuKSXPyRBoHTyphvN4zaTWzKx9oGv.

    Never got anything like that, but it sounds like a scam. There are similar ones usually done by phone demanding money, don't fall for it.

    Before I opened 10 forums, I checked my emails and found a reply from they appear to have had an email account hacked and they are introducing severe security measures now, as I type. Yep, a fake, but as I was dealing with sorting my revamped pc out and ridding it of some spyware, I naturally went WHAT!!! They confirm its a fake and reiterated that they would NEVER sent such rubbish out.
