Unfortunately, not. Yesterday his Father-in-law passed away, and they are up in PA making arrangements. We will go up Sunday for viewing and memorial service. He was 90.

Microsoft begins blocking updates for older Windows versions on newer hardware | ZDNet

This doesn't bode well for our latest help client, Steve!

Really, I don't mind helping if I can. This poor lady is working on an uphill battle. Not only did she have a stroke, but the Windows 7 computer she was so familiar with quit working and she was thrown into Windows 10, so she's been hit with a double whammy.

I can really relate to her having to contend with Windows 10, because a friend of mine in Livingston has the same problem; she just could never get up to speed. And she didn't have a stroke! She's just old, like me. She had upgraded from 7 to 10, then took it to Tim, the Computer Guy and had him restore Windows 7.

I'm in no rush to abandon W7 myself. I guess it will see out my lappy which is coming up on seven years old now.
