First of all, congrats to your pal. Well done!

Secondly, that's a big decision and can be tough to keep.

I did a similar decision years ago, not to drink to get drunk.

Two reasons:

1. I started to forget what I was doing and lost total control
2. I started to experience heavy hangover

So I decided that it's not worth it to be sick for two days for one day of fun I would not remember anyway.

Not saying I'm an absolutist, because I'm not. I just quit all the excess drinking.

Not today, but this past Thursday I graduated from high school and then attended summer orientation at Bob Jones University on the following Friday and Saturday. Been a busy weekend. :)
