Today is my first full day with my new hearing aids. Got them yesterday afternoon and am very happy with them, so far at least. As a Veteran the V.A. supplied them to me free of charge, so I should thank our United States members for their tax dollars at work. They are programmable with low background sounds to help with my very severe tinnitus , been cycling through them and one in particular REALLY makes a difference. The fact that I can HEAR again is ............ nicer than I can put into words. Feels a little funny but I'll get used to that I'm sure. I'm really quite shocked at the difference tbh, guess I just got used to the gradual loss as it happened. But NOW.... its like "why did I not get these sooner?!"

Very good ... I'm not gonna repeat Keith's pun. :)

I've had a low level tinnitus for most of my life that I, for the most part, can ignore.

    Oh that's nice Scott

It's kind of like when you put off going to the optometrist for a few years to see if you need to update your glasses prescription, and when you finally do, and get the glasses, how nice you can see clearly again(the only comparison I could think of, that's actually happened to me).

Thanks to all for your support! Wynonna ...... if your Tinnitus gets worse I HIGHLY recommend getting something similar to what I have. I am amazed at the difference both in what I can hear and the clarity of it now. (My tinnitus got exponentially worse here in the last 6 months or so .......... its what made me actually tell my Doctor about it ...... and was getting extremely distracting.)

Again ............ nice "hearing" the support from you all! (Hey........... if Keith can do it, so can I )
