My worst Sunday morning ever!
I jolted awake this morning, looked at the clock and saw that it was 06:22.
I panicked and thought I was late for work(I have early shift next week and it starts at 06:00, so I generally wake up at 03:40, to get a nice slow start with coffee and cereal, and a little internet time, to see what went on in the forums and my tech youtube subscriptions, while I was sleeping).
I threw on my clothes, tried to call work(of course no one answered), to say I'm on the way.
I was miffed that I didn't have time for my coffee, breakfast or even a smoke.
Then went downstairs grabbed my bike and started on the way.
After two kilometers(little more than a mile), I was fully awake, and it dawned on me, and there was no traffic at all, and after thinking about what I did yesterday, like grocery shopping, that it was Sunday!
So I went home, turned on the coffee, and the PC.
I have never been late for work, NEVER.
Even as a young soldier, going out getting (really, absolutley, totally sh*t faced)drunk, I always woke up on time.
So you can really understand my shock when I woke up thinking I was late.
Today I REALLY have to move the icon for my aol mail on my favorites bar. Its blue you see and sit's exactly over the top of the Forums "Notifications" text. So every time I glance up towards the top of a page my peripheral vision tells me I have a notification! Been like that since I reinstalled everything about two weeks ago. Guess that says something about my attention span huh?
Well today the engineer from Sky has been out and upgraded us to SkyQ, it will take a bit of getting used to after years of working with the Sky+HD boxes and knowing just where to find everything.
The funny part is hubby said he'd have to start working out how to use all this tech stuff because if I go he's buggered he wouldn't be able to use anything.
It made me laugh, I said to him oh yes and a few years ago when the kids were still at home they'd all used computers you'd used them at work and I'd never touched one. We get the first one for home and who ends up having to look after everybody's machine and fix things when they went wrong. His answer was, well you took to it like a duck to water.
