Had another damn power cut again today, it's so annoying and it causes no end of trouble when I've got to sort all the settings and clocks up again, plus it's causing problems keep losing the router I've got to get my Sky box connected again this time but that will have to wait till tomorrow.

Fed up with losing the connection on my Asus Notebook while everyone else is still connected grrrrrrrr managed to get on via BT Fon it bit earlier but then looked at connections told it to connect to my router and it worked, don't how long it will last, switching off for the night now but we will see what happens tomorrow, just anyone know if hot weather can have any effect on Wi-Fi ?

Yes, it can get annoying but disaster can strike too if you were to loose power during a BIOS update for instance, bricking MB is practically guaranteed. Hot weather tends to make people use air conditioners a lot and can stress smaller power distribution centers to cutting out point. Fridges and other cooling devices work overtime too.
WiFi itself is not affected but routers and internet/phone service distribution antennae get hot and no electronic devices like it hot.

Yes I know, but I remember posts to a point. I clean up old subscribed threads and I probably checked this one by mistake.

Well there's no such luxury as air conditioning here, I know we've had a couple of days hot sunny weather but not enough to warrant it, I live in the UK. The power cut for the first time has also lost the connection between my Sky box and the Internet. Don't know how many in the village were affected, I know one that happened last week also happened in the next village a couple of miles away.

HI Joan, It's been pretty hot here in Bavaria too(not even rain helps, it then just get's muggy on top of that).
I just close my all my windows and shades, as the sun get's above the horizon and my small apartment stays cooler than outside, which is really nice, after I come home at 15:00 after early shift, and outside is in the 30's.

I think the only thing I have to do today is a bit of shopping this morning then do about nothing the rest of the day with Max :)
