Today, I've finished cleanly installing Windows 10 April (2018) Update. Now to check some things, play around a little, Check the connectivity to my Pixel 2 XL (started running the Android "P" Developer Preview 2 on it - loving it!) and then make a backup or two - and then use viBoot to install 17666.
Normally, I'd be loathe to install anything with 666, but I figure, hell, Micro$oft has goofed things enough, and perhaps the 666 moniker will actually have a positive effect on the build.
Wish me luck.
If you have a network, check to make sure your Function Discovery Resource Publication service is running. It is hit and miss in 1803 and will break browsing LAN in File Explorer. I had to set mine to Automatic (Delayed Start) to make it run. It was set on manual and would never run until I made the change.
I finally decided to install my Totolink A1200 PE PCIe wifi adapter card into my old lenovo desktop, and connect it via HDMI to my tv.
I had been just keeping the Lenovo H530 under the desk and only taking it out every 6 months for the version upgrades, as this is my emergency desktop, incase my main machine $h*tz the bed.
I got, but never used, the Totolink wifi card, when I bought my 6700K MSI pre-built HYRICAN, as I prefer ethernet where possible.
But after this last upgrade, I got sick of having to pull out the Lenovo, disconnect one of my monitors for it, connecting the ethernet cable & keyboard, I said it's time to do something, and set it up next to my TV, and connected it to my Home Cinema for sound.
I can always place a dust cover over it, not a pretty sight, but hey, it's a 3rd PC, in my tiny apartment, and I'm pressed for space.
The reason I keep it, is, it has Win10 Pro N, and even though an "off the shelf" PC, with an Intel G3220, it is hypervisor capable(as opposed to my old laptop with a B960.

Just checked my own machine - it was set to manual as well. Should FD Provider Host also be started and running for other devices to be able to access this machine? Both have the same exact dependencies....
Just curious....The FDPHOST service hosts the Function Discovery (FD) network discovery providers. These FD providers supply network discovery services for the Simple Services Discovery Protocol (SSDP) and Web Services – Discovery (WS-D) protocol. Stopping or disabling the FDPHOST service will disable network discovery for these protocols when using FD. When this service is unavailable, network services using FD and relying on these discovery protocols will be unable to find network devices or resources.
