What's up with all the phoney MS support calls all of a sudden? I got another call today. For the longest time I didn't receive any. Now it's becoming weekly. It's a shame that enough people actually fall for this scam to make it worth their while.
Oh .. I get them as well but I just don't answer the phone if I don't know the number. If for some reason it's important the person can leave a message on my voice mail.
play along with them, pretend you have a tablet/mac/Linux and their instructions to allow access don't work
or question them on everything, ask for proof they are from MS
they soon get bored when you annoy them and stop phoning for a while
It can be good fun if they catch you when you have a bit of time to spare
the last time they phoned me, when he kept saying I can see what is going on on your PC and you have a virus I responded with, can you tell me where on the MS site it show that I have allowed MS to monitor all my activity, is this legal?

got that call the other day,i just called him a nasty name and hung up ,a lot of the calls we get now show on the scree as our own number and name as the caller
