The problem may well be the provider. This is not the same as mine. I am going to my own first to see if my sim will transer and if so, then going to the other and see if phone is locked. There is a new law coming or in place in the UK which stops providers from locking phones, so we shall see, going to shops in a few.
I could not get the phone I wanted, it had probably been bought. So I went to a local GAME shop and they had phones in the window and found a lumia 925 for £79 but on Win 8.1. I liked it after testing and 12 months warranty, so bought it. Q: can I get an upgrade to 10 or am I 'stuck' with 8.1.
The phone can not upgrade, looked online and at the online manual, no upgrades. Anyway, it would not accept the apps I wanted tso I took it back and now have a Lumia 640, charging at present, but suposedly 10 - so we wait ..............................
Update: got a lumia 640, (unlocked) excellent phone and now upgraded to win 10. I like to watch Nasa tv but it says Flash player is disabled. So I followed the precise instructions - edge - settings - advanced settings - enable flash - only one thing - there is no enable flash switch there. My next trick is I am going to try and find an independent browser and see if I can do it through that.

Went into a MS discussion on this problem. Answers from MS: 'have you installed Adobe Flash' which is both inaccurate and invalid as:
Microsoft has confirmed our initial report in a statement today, pointing out that Flash on Windows Phone (or Windows 10 for phones) is not possible, not because they wouldn't want to support it, but because “Adobe is no longer developing Flash for mobile.”
The Internet Explorer team has released this statement in a Twitter chat earlier today, pointing out that Spartan, the new browser that will be available across all devices powered by Windows 10, will come with a wide array of features on phones, including UI changes that could improve usability on portable devices.
When I upgraded, it did not install IE, only Edge. I also saw another report from questions that IE is now discontinued!!!!
ah well, I give up on windows mobile phones. My phone has been rebooting without request on at least 6 occasions in the past 4 days and now its done a reset back to basic 8.1 and I wasnt even using it. Back to the shop, lesson learnt.
