I'll be getting back into things as soon as new stuff arrives. I'm actually playing around a bit right now. I just downloaded (cloned) the GitHub stuff for my SI1145 to my bread board rig. I'll run the setup once my module is all wired up. I want to get it all running on my bread board rig first. Ferret out all the bugs etc, then redo it one final time on my weather clock. It should be just a clip and past of the working python code into the other file, and run a few commands from the command line to install the package. Fingers crossed.

I'll have a few little projects to work on once my stuff arrives. And a couple of mods to my bread board rig. I want to put some poly fuses on the USB ports, and redo the ends of the custom USB cables I made earlier. Right now power comes right from my power pack. If I get a short on the USB jack I'll get 10 Amps flowing, smoke, fire etc. I'm going to switch to using these https://www.adafruit.com/product/2225 soldered to this https://www.adafruit.com/product/1609 . Actually it will likely be half of the bread board, I'm just going to cut one right down the middle. I'll solder the poly fusses to it too. Then bolt the whole thing to my open beam frame. If I have room I'm going to add this volume control too, https://www.adafruit.com/product/3394. Right between my two USB ports. The audio from the audio jack on my Pi will go through the volume control before it hits my amplifier. That's the plan anyway.

Adafruit order just arrived. I get to play with my UV light sensor this weekend. Those free LED's are in the Pimoroni order that that hasn't arrived yet. Mon or Tues I would think? I soldered the header on my SI1145 Digital UV Index / IR / Visible Light Sensor. I've had a rough day today, migraine most of the day so I likely won't do anything more with it tonight. Now that the header is on it I can plug and pray tomorrow though, lol.

Have a look at this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvKHefzOTVc I only listened to the beginning but it sounds like you just need to drag and drop some file over to the SD card from Raspbian lite. Might have to do it on a Pi though. or another Linux PC. Depends on whether windows sees the partition in question.

Got bored and wired my UV sensor on my bread board rig. I found a link to a library for the Pi somebody did up on github. https://github.com/THP-JOE/Python_SI1145 Bonus, saves me from having to port over the Arduino code to work on a Pi. =) Seems to work OK. Ran the test python file and it looks good. Just have to edit my main python file and wire it up to my weather clock. I already have the header in place so all I need is a couple of female to female jumpers. I have some of those thanks to you. You gave me some a while back when we were trading Pi stuff. I've had a few rum + coke so it won't be tonight, lol. On the plus side my migraine is gone. =)
