Hello. I think $39.00 for just the Pi board , Raspberry Pi 3 - Model B - ARMv8 with 1G RAM ID: 3055 - $39.95 : Adafruit Industries, Unique fun DIY electronics and kits
then it needs a sd card ,power adapter ,and depending what you want to use it for the sky is the limit ... buying it in a kit is the best way to go . like this one
Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Starter Pack - Includes a Raspberry Pi 3 ID: 3058 - $89.95 : Adafruit Industries, Unique fun DIY electronics and kits

They range from about 10 bucks, or so, for a Pi Zero, to about 40 bucks for the top of the line model 3B. The Zero though, more often than not requires adapters if you want to use it fully. It has mini HDMI and micro USB ports As Jack mentioned, I highly recommend you buy at least a basic kit that includes the official power supply. Especially if you go with the 3B. So many people use phone chargers and have issues.

Do you have any projects in mind? If you plan on playing around with the GPIO pins etc, a kit like the one Jack posted is even better.

Jack and I both buy quit a bit from Adafruit, https://www.adafruit.com/ and Pimoroni, https://shop.pimoroni.com/. More than we'd probably want to admit, We are in Canada so either one works for us. You being in the US, Adafruit is likely going to work best for you. Or E-bay etc. Looking around either site will give you a good idea as to what's out there and what people are doing with them. And of course , https://www.raspberrypi.org/

I'd buy a few of the RTC boards if sold separately. I've been making my own up, sort of kind or. RTC break out board mounted to a Proto Hat.

Pimoroni is FIVE years old. 20% off (selected items) Until the 6th of next month or something. The stuff they actually make I think is what's on sale. PIBOW, Mote, etc. I just ordered some stuff and got a dollar something off. I would have ordered it anyway. Most of my stuff was arcade buttons, hookup wire, some more of those Nija diffusers, and other odds and ends. The arcade buttons are what I really needed. I toyed with getting colored buttons but finally just went with all black ones. My Pirate radio glitched on me today. Just stopped playing, might have lost the stream of something. Remote wouldn't work so I had to reach in and press that tiny very hard to find power button on the pHat Beat. It shut off OK so I'm not sure what happened? I ordered a couple of inexpensive remotes too. Will see how they work out. I'm thinking my code needs some refinement. Putting my code into the main file so it all runs from the one source may help. I'm going to tackle that when this order arrives. I may try to add some other functions too. Like pressing 1 on the remote switches to channel 1, etc. There is a long list of VLC Radio functions the buttons on the pHat Beat doesn't take advantage of.

I'm wanting one too, we had one at work, our third hand/arm. Won't help with soldering headers though, they will just fall out, lol. You'd have to bend a pin at opposite corners to make them stay in. I do it all the time with IC's, resistors, LED's etc. Not all that fussy for doing it with the headers though. You could solder one pin at each end on the bench/table, check that its straight, then put it in the vice to finish it off though.

This is interesting, https://shop.pimoroni.com/collection...charger-module Up to 2.5 A out. Should be enough to power a Pi 3B with extra's like a Sense Hat. A nice replacement/competitor for the Power Boost 1000c. The 1.2 A current limit is my only real complaint with the Power Boost. The one mounting hole is a bit odd though? I would have had at least two somehow. You don't want that moving around and maybe shorting out on something.
