Running back up of C: thru the schedule now.
It has high compression and purge before back up, retain 2 back ups.

Can't watch it this one except for the activity light which is flashin' away.

Edit:

This back up completed with no error's.

Going to disconnect the drive, restart and try a back up of E: thru the schedule.

TC, what else can I test or check to make sure it doesn't fail again ?

Back up of E: completed with no error's.

Both C and E purged the oldest back up first, used high compression.

The difference from normal to high compression was not that much.
High compression is the top smaller number.

I think this was what fixed the fail's, not positive.
Backup aborted! - Write operation failed - The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error (Backup, Clone Disk, v5, VSS)

Yes, I believe so. I can use eject for the drive now.
