    Help Identify some music

    Hello,
Maybe this is a strange, or not in place question, before posting it, I made a search and got nothing, so now I will ask you:
Some days ago I listened to the radio - some classics, and heared a nice piece which I managed to record a few seconds but missed the name of it. I will try to upload those fwe seconds in mp3 format. If somebody can answer me name of it, so I can find and download it.
    Answers will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Motim
PS, got an error massage that mp3 file is not valid, so I 'zipped' it and make a try again. Name "Unknown music.zip"
    Thanks again

I too have heard that before, and like you I don't know the name or the composer.

I've heard that tune but can't place it just now. Your file is quite small, the full song probably is over 3MB and may be quite a bit larger. An example of a tune I have on the computer, Piano Concerto No. 1.mp3, is 9.5MB and play time just over 4 minutes. WinZip can bring it down to about 1.7MB.

I forgot to add, there is a function within the music industry where people go around various places to listen or record the music they are playing and compare with the licensing of music the business has to determine if they are violating copyright laws. Our church has such a copyright license, download from sites to use, costs a yearly fee. Have heard there may be a machine that can recognize songs and compare to a database.

I have an App on my iPhone called Shazam that identifies music. It is free. It was able to identify the attached music segment. Mooly has the answer.

Shazam is also available as a free download for Windows 10 itself- but I haven't figured out how to make it listen to music that's playing on the same computer.

Says it works even offline. I'm downloading as I have 718 music files in a Folder named Reunion Years that my daughter has lost the printed list for, going to try Shazam on them.

EDIT: That didn't work, appears to want to listen to a microphone picking up an external source such as a radio, CD player, etc.

    You're welcome :)

There is a large green tick box 'Mark as solved' at both the top of the page and at the bottom near where you type a reply.
