Now what to do with the 840 256GB
I only have 2x SATA 6(1 for the 850 Pro and 1 for my 2TB HDD, then I have one for my DVD which is SATA 1.5???)
I'll probably just pack it away,. as a last instance back up, and just plug it in once every 6 months, to make sure no Bit Bot happens.

Well, the Samsung Data Migration Software kept failing with a disk disconnected error. I tried a lot of times and couldn't get it to work and got seriously frustrated because I never had the problem before with it.
So I did what every man does after multiple failed attempts, I read the instructions.
In them was a line about dual boot & multi boot. I don't dual boot, but after a while, when I was eating, it dawned on me, technically I do.
I have Macrium Reflect as a boot option in UEFI.
    So then...
    OH! wait a minute...!
    I have Macrium Free!
Just maybe I can clone with the free version...
    maybe..,
so I opened up Macrium and low and behold.., I CAN

I let Macrium do it's magic...Shut down... Switch connections... Press the start button... (Insert Jeopardy Theme here)...
    AND IT BOOTED

Then I ran winsat formal so the OS knows it go a shot of steroids(a small shot, the 850 Pro specs it's only 10 MB/s faster on the sequentials than the 840 Pro, I wanted a larger disk is all)

    Before & After(like I said I wanted disk size)

    Old disk 3.6TB in writes
    Attachment 39119

    Brand spanking new
    Attachment 39120
    Nice one Cliff! Enjoy!
    Btw, can't see your attachments.

Might be then the post would be too big? Just click 'em! I was curious before I swapped them out and ran magician before and after, and as you/ you will see, not that big a difference between the two, even though one has over 3 1/2 Terabytes use.

I keep getting the wrong ones sorry: now I got it
    SystemScore>5</SystemScore>
    <MemoryScore>7.6</MemoryScore>
    <CpuScore>7.1</CpuScore>
    <CPUSubAggScore>7</CPUSubAggScore>
    <VideoEncodeScore>7.2</VideoEncodeScore>
    <GraphicsScore>5</GraphicsScore>
    <Dx9SubScore>9.9</Dx9SubScore>
    <Dx10SubScore>9.9</Dx10SubScore>
    <GamingScore>9.9</GamingScore>
    <StdDefPlaybackScore>TRUE</StdDefPlaybackScore>
    <HighDefPlaybackScore>TRUE</HighDefPlaybackScore>
    <DiskScore>8.2</DiskScore>

I had to copy the one that pops up in IE, then paste it in Note Pad, then copy that to paste here, so it is readable.

8.2 score. What's the old score (if you still remember)? :)
What IOPS (R&W) are you getting from that one? (Sorry for my questions).

No idea now. The only thing I have are those 2 attachments with the Magician scores. did you click on them and take a look?
One thing I know is my VM will react better, because I moved them onto the SSD now that I have enough room(that was actually the reason for the new disk) I originally had them on the 7200 spinner where my data and image backups are.

Yeah I clicked on the attachments and I am getting invalid error.
I was also getting 8.2 sub-score on the Samsung 840 Evo 120GB before.

    Today [2]-wei_before.png

Then when I switched to M.2 (Samsung SM951) , there was almost a 10 points jump on the Primary Hard Drive sub-score.
(Same rig as above. Just upgraded some hardware.)
