The Space Stuff thread

I must admit that I have really got into watching NASA TV lately. It makes me wish I was born a lot later in order to be able to see how all the new technologies and space travel pans out. If things carry on the way they are, we will need to find a new off world home within the next 100 years [ if that long ].

My visits to NASA have dribbled to almost a halt. Not only have they gone VERY politically correct but they have cancelled showing the earth cams and refuse to reply when I ask them why?

Maybe those earth cams show things they don't want us to know ?

Anyway, I suggest the shows on Science channel: "What on Earth ?" and 'Mysteries of the Abandoned" for things like old ruins, castles, outdated military locations, and they do cover odd weather items to.

We dont have same channels as you. We don even have NASA tv; I have to go online to see that but no earthcams, which I loved.

I just watched an episode of The Wonders of the Universe, about exo planets and moons. After half an hour I deleted it, all they were doing was speculative circles and repeating themselves, not once or twice, but all the time. The bottom line is they know nothing. ......

I would like to see an ion drive incorporated into a big big probe with all modern eqpt including nuclear power which can be sent out towards a specific area, eg: andromeda. I assume it can be permanently in powered flight being nuclear.
