Thank you Hemimax, for the article.

Although I have found some of Mr. Musk's remarks (in the past), a little odd.

I very much admire him, and the tireless work of his team.

    Regards.

Got up at 2:30am this morning and watched the return. Amazing splash down and recovery

From the recovery ship, chutes deployed.

Well heck, I missed it. Will have to search for video.

But agree, working together, NASA and SpaceX are amazing!

    Thanks for the pix.

Takes at least 1.5 hours but I loved it. (1.5 hrs = true re-entry until commander jumps out of capsule on recovery ship.)

You could actually see each set of chutes deploy and how they swarmed the capsule once it splashed down. It hit the water and the recovery teams were there.

Here is a link to the video, if someone is interested.

Be advised, it's almost 3 hours long, if watched in its entirety.

Those poor announcers. In other live feeds when there is nothing happening they say we will be back. These two had to fill every minute and it showed.

How can I say this again but make it sound like it is new info. LOL

Exactly. The Science channel had 2hour time slots on my guide for the launch and splashdown but if there was nothing urgent happening the channel would revert to regularly scheduled programming.

I'd walk away for a moment and come back to "How's it made"... A perfect recipe for missing something.
