I took a still from my mate Curiosity couple of years back, still use it. Shows shale deposits on what was once a seabed

Apophis has a diameter of 370 metres (1,210 feet). An impact might create a ~5km (3 mile) crater.
Apophis might release ~1200 MT of energy if it strikes Earth. However, with just 0.001% the mass of the legendary dinosaur-killing asteroid, it poses no extinction threat. However, if you were close enough to where it hit you would have a very bad day.

Watching french or euronews on tv, people are now beginning to complain about the volume of satellites being sent into orbit. Astronomers and public alike are getting fed up with human materials interfering with their work or enjoyment. I agree. As it happens I was thinking only yesterday that one day, something big is going to go up and collide with another something big causing even more debris and a lot of it falling into the atmosphere like the second stage falcon booster mentioned above. If we dont clean space up very soon, its all going to backfire.

I'm gonna sink my money in space salvage!
