I'm just wondering if 34 inch monitor will hurt eyes or health? My friend has 24 inch monitor now & he thinks getting 34 ultrawide monitor, but he's afraid if it won't be good for his eyes/health. Also will it give difference for eyes/health between 34 & 27 inch monitors?
I have seen many articles in regards to your question, it appears anything much over 27" for a computer monitor isn't really recommended, at that point you are just better off using a tv screen sitting a long ways from it.
There are many rules and theories but it appears for viewing distance one should sit about 1.5 to 2 times x diagonal screen screen size away, so minimum for 34" monitor would be 34 x 1.5 = 51 inches which is 4.25ft.
So if the person is going to be sitting 4 feet away from the monitor than 34" is fine, if going to sit closer than stay smaller than the 34".
