    Chromebooks Outsell Macs, but...

Chromebooks surge past Macs in the U.S. for the first time | PCWorld

For the first three months of 2016, Chromebooks outsold Macs, the first time that Chromebooks have outsold any operating system. But much of the sales is to schools, which buy the Chromebooks in bulk.

I wouldn't worry too much about that distinction since Apple pretty much had a lock on sales to schools for quite awhile. I'm thinking about getting a Chromebook just to see what users see with them, already have an Android tablet and a Windows tablet.

I wonder that too, in my head i think it would be like using an android phone, on a big screen without being able to make calls !

I've never owned a Chromebook, but they have a learning curve. I've fooled around with a few cloud-based operating systems (all of which eventually folded). You can do serious work and play games, as well as surf the web.
