Geez! I'm sure glad it was Mike that set Bob straight on the backups, and not me!

Well have tried everything ....even formatted the 2nd SSD .....had rapid mode on ...different drives, off on both drives, nothing worked. Sticking point is when Macrium makes the Saving Index file....that's when it stalls for over 2 mins. Nothing changes it.
So .....I gave up. Dam spinner drive is faster for Macrium than a 2nd SSD .....But that WD Black is fastest drive out, for a spinner.
So, guess I'll just use the WD for image backups.

Mike, I discovered something interesting about Marvin Magician. It does not play well at all with Insider! Kept telling me I had to set the bios to AHCI (already was!) and it couldn't even find the drive! But, it plays very well on 8.1! Full MBAM in 3:45, full SASW in 4:30 and Full Defender, 750000 entries in 5:10! Guess whatever fixes and such they just released were to get it up to speed on current build. They have about 2 months to teach it about the Anniversary Edition!

And MS just released 14342 MOBILE to Fast Ring......gabe tweet

Good move! It says in the fine print somewhere that it will only optimize one SSD, they called it a limiting factor. Might be the issue. Bob goes SSD --> SSD without the issue, but they are not Samsungs. I go SSD --> ext without the issues.

Only thing I didn't try was removing Magician....thought about it thou :) Works fine on either WD drive, I have two, one is external. Both are 1TB drives. Will be interesting to see....what happens if you add another Samsung Drive thou . ...hehe :)

Good afternoon gents! The "maid's work" is finally done and now I have to do my TC imitation and mow the grass tomorrow. :)
Count me in with those who do full system images each time. Probably cuz I was too lazy to try and figure out how to do incremental.
