Thanks TC. Tell Mike not to worry, as I won't be taking that lovely FNG away from him any time soon....
That's what all this yappin' is about?
Thanks!
Oh good! I was afraid you would be mad at me for sending you all that rain! (Not on purpose, of course! But Wynona was tired of it...)
Good afternoon gang! Got my new hot water heater installed today. After watching everything the plumber went through I am very glad I left it to the professionals instead of trying to install it myself. :)
Congrats !
Earl is impressed, you brought a smile to his face.

Hi Bob. None of the water line connections would break loose, even with two large pipe wrenches, so the plumber ended up cutting the lines and splicing in new pieces. He had a contraption that fit around each new splice that compressed it tight, instead of having to solder. Then just wrestling with the old tank, which is pretty heavy even after being drained, would have "killed me". :)
Yes, it was an adventure. You're right it would have killed you trying to fight with it all day with out the right tools.
I wouldn't even think about doing anything like it now.
Small price to pay to have someone else do it, plus if it springs a leak its on them.
You woulda been pullin' your hair out if it had a leak after it was done.
Yes, installing it would have been a real struggle for me. The only thing I did was set the temperature of the lower heating element to match what the plumber set the upper element too. I don't know why he only adjusted the top one, but after reading the manual the manufacturer says both elements should be the set the same.
