I bought used stove and side-by-side fridge in great shape from a friend of mine in that business. A month into it the freezer it started frosting up. I called under warrantee and came out to replace the MoBo in it. No go. He came out the 2nd time and replaced a sensor that starts the defrost cycle, which is a heating element that defrosts the coils. It used to be a fan, but now we cool things down just to heat them up.

Hi, LJ. LOL! "Mo money". A bit, but my real treasures aren't stored in this world. :)
Thankfully I haven't had any problems with either of my appliances. Although my first oven, one of those fancy ones with a glass cook top, literally exploded. I was in another room when it happened and it sounded like a shotgun going off.
I hear ya regarding where our true treasures are stored up!

Really didn't want to hear that LJ cause my fancy gas stove is a Glass Top Stainless Steel model. BUT its around 8 years old, and has not blown up yet. :)

Update on my fridge defrosting job, ALL Done, just putting things back together. Cleaning insides. Then put all the frozen stuff back in after it reaches temp. ( I got a spare small fridge, that I put all the frozen stuff into.) Doing this job I saved myself around 150.00.

Sure same place all of them freeze Bob, right at the top of the drain opening. Then it goes down maybe 5 inches more.
Then after that freezes all the excess water freezes all over the bottom of the freezer floor. Quite a mess sometimes. :)
This is a Top mounted Freezer Bob.
