Answer to first part: If I were you, I would first shrink that SSD drive E: down to the same size as the one on C: - no need for 465GB. If you don't and something gets written to the end area of E:, you won't be able to later. You'll have your Remix partition and a whole bunch of unallocated space to do whatever with. Then, yes, just copy/paste.
Part 2: To stop Boot Manager from seeing it on the current C:, just go into msconfig and delete the entry. To get it to boot from the new one, I looked around a bit and it is, at best, tricky. I found sites that said to change it in BIOS (the order of the drives) each time you want to. I found some sites that got real heavy into bcdedit internals (looked spooky!). And some that said it could be done with EasyBCD. That's all assuming you have the EFI partition on the drive you want to boot from. In essence, both your current Disk 1 and the new Disk 0 would have to have the required Boot Manager files on them at the beginning. The UEFI goes from the BIOS > Boot Manager > Boot Loader of chosen OS. Think I got that right. It's getting over my head!!! Wish I could help more, but I don't know enough about that part to even steer you in the wrong direction! Gotta be somebody who knows.
Thanks TC.
Going to shrink it to 100GB as the Remix partition now is 94GB which gives me room to add program's.
Then going to attempt a clean install of Remix on the new drive partition.
This should take care of boot configuration during the install.
After installing I need to make the data.img file bigger and I have another program to do it.
Data.img is where all info is stored such as settings and added programs.
Bob, If you clean install without the Windows disk connected, you can just use the one time boot menu to select which drive to boot into. It makes it simpler that way as you will not, in the future, have to worry about the boot configuration as you are now.
This is on a different OS, but see if this gives you any ideas.

How will this work after I put the Windows SSD back in ?
The way msconfig is now Remix does not show up.

Remix uses a Grub boot set up.
