Something like this may do what I want, http://www.homedepot.ca/product/husk...ian-box/842778. I'll have to go in open a few up and see what they look like inside. A molded plastic one will make it easy to dremel off the bits I don't want, or anything in the way.

Yeah. That one looks good. Just a bit pricey for something that you are going to tear apart. :) If you are not in a hurry, you may find something better and cheaper on ebay.

That's was just a quick search for something as an example of what I want. I'll go into Home Depot, Canadian Tire, etc and have a look at what's there before I decide on something. The only things I'd be cutting is those tool holder bits on the top. Just to make if flush, it would all be hidden behind the display anyway. The only other thing I might do is mount a connector for the ac cord. I have those connectors like what's on a PC power supply where you plug the AC cord in. Then I'd just use a PC power cord and keep in in the case along with a short extension cord. If I do it that way and do put a battery inside I could recharge it with the lid closed. Starting to think of all kinds of things now. Just have to quietly store a little cash away somehow.

    sounds like a great idea,
I was stowing away some cash for a few things , but go to dig into it this weekend for something more important , Got to go to a funeral in Halifax , my daughters boyfriend's father passed away ...

I have 2 empty Dewalt drill cases that might work for something like that ,your more than welcome to have one if you want .if its big enough, it is 14x11 and 4 1/4 deep ,..

My Pi2 shell finally arrived today after a month. I was misled by the seller. His posting said that the item is in US. But there was a fineprint saying that international buyers will get it from China.
