    Thanks Bob.

It's really nice since I only have one monitor. So now I can still see what my computer is doing and see what the Pi is doing. :)

You can also do "sudo-ing" remotely using SSH terminal app from your ipad. There are some free SSH terminal apps.

I think I did something along those lines. I followed this tutorial to do it. http://whatapalaver.co.uk/2013/12/co...-pi-from-ipad/

did you ever get this how-to ,to work to make an image,i'm having issue with getting it to read the image from the sd card
That's how I backup my SD cards. When your going to save an image type in a file name first thing, backup.img for an example. If you leave it blank it won't do anything and some options are greyed out. It doesn't auto create a file name for you. It had me scratching my head for bit the first time I went to back up a card to an image.

Okay. This is what I'm seeing.

In the first screen shot, mine had a Keyboard Layout button in the lower right. I have no idea why yours doesn't? Looks like you did through the other interface. Earlier you mentioned that your keyboard backlights didn't work. If they normally work with no software, try this. Add this bit of text to your config.txt file max_usb_current=1 The Raspberry Pi is limited to 600 ma of current across all 4 USB ports. Where a PC can supply 500 ma per port. That line increases it to 1.2 A for all 4 ports. The config.txt file is in the root of the SD card. I just take the card out and plug it into my PC to do the edit in notepad. If your ambitious I think its sudo nano /boot/config.txt , enter the line, then ctrl x Y to save.

Just started over with Wheezy on my bread boarding rig. Screen starts out upside down with touch not working. Wif takes a long time to connect after I enter my pass code. At least a minute, if your impatient you'll think it didn't work. Did a hand stand and ran sudo apt-get update and sudo apt get upgrade, Took quite a while to update everything. Did a reboot after that and screen flipped right side up, and touch now works. I'm going to have to watch the boot up closely. I caught a glimpse of an "incompatible argument" message. May have to sort that out?

Chuck, in Wheezy, the Keyboard layout button is missing, like you posted in your screen shot. You'll also know you installed Wheezy, and not Jessie, if you get the config menu in your second screen shot automatically on first boot. Jessie boots to desktop by default.

Now it's time to set my keyboard etc. I didn't feel like doing that while standing on my head. lol.
