Teenagers take for granted cellphones and modern computers.
All this advancement is attributable to the technological expertise and development by the older generation.
Thanks, Brink. Gave me some good laughs and memories. I remember how proud I was of Windows 95.
lol, makes me think of the first 19 CRT I had and how far my desk had to be from the wall for it to fit on top. The floppy drive seek sound on boot up. Turning your PC on, then going to make your cup of coffee.
I am 14 years old and I know loads more about computers and tech then these people
When I watched that video, the boys are there actually kind of knew what they were talking about, but the girls... eh, they just know how to use that smartphone to take pictures of themselves and sent it to Snap Chat or whatever they are doing these days. BUT, there are lots of men and women who know there computer stuff, I am not saying all don't know how to use one, but mostly teens. I am actually lucky to be in the tech computer line, because I have to help most of my classmates with a lot of computer stuff because they don't know how and it kind of sickens me, but just no one knows the details. Details, details, details. My opinion btw, you can agree or disagree :)
Anyway, back on topic, when I was able to get my grandmother's old Windows 95 (Packard-Bell), I was so excited to be able to use it! These old ancient computers are actually pretty cool and wouldn't mind having one. Would have to be a Windows 95. :) Still, a major turn point to Windows after the DOS era, you finally had a desktop and a start menu and other cool features! And the internet browser arrived, but the internet didn't really have a huge impact until the early 2000's. My parents said, when they used the internet it took more than 10 minutes to load a page, maybe 1 hour? We didn't have a lot back then, had Dial-Up for a long time until 2013 when we had US Cellular internet on a cap for 5gb. Then the following year we got to 5mbps of internet, unlimited to, but from another company. We live out in the country and you can get crap out here! ha ha
You make me want to time travel in the past. I really wished I was born in the 90's, because for one thing, I really don't like my generation. I just kind of get sick of the society using the new smartphones and just not watching where they are going, taking pictures of other people/teachers/students and themselves and posting this crap on the internet. I thought a smartphone was meant for emergencies and trying to communicate with other people and just using for, if you forgot to look something up on the internet at home --> wah la, you have this smartphone, so look up that part or something you forgot. I just wished some people used the smartphones properly. I guess I am not angry with the smartphones, because it is not their fault, it's the people who use them incorrectly.
Btw, this is just my opinion! You can like it, or hate it :)
Haha, love it. It was the first OS I ever used!
Windows 95 still has many features that even Windows 10 has... Start menu, Taskbar. It really was one of the greats .
