    Her computer wouldn't start....


    Just thought I'd drop this here for fun. My Wife brought me her friends laptop that wouldn't boot fully into Windows. (I'm "that" guy)

    Among a variety of other problems....

    (taken with phone as at that point a screen shot wasn't possible)

    All protections had been shut off by malware. System Restore disabled. All fixed up now and running well. Didn't lose her pictures etc... Suitable lecture given.

    Hate to say it but I've seen worse on a couple I worked on. Amazing how some folks let the computer go to hell until they can't navigate anymore, then they come looking for help.
