Who likes the latest X-Files

Hi there

I think it's great -- won't be shown in here Isl for a while if ever but "got from alternative sources" --up to episode 4. Loved it years ago and still think it's great.

How on earth does Scully (Gillian Andersen) do it : She looks like she hasn't aged A DAY since the last series-- been a long time since the last series (S09) of X-Files was on.

Any women on these Forums -- without getting too sexist -- please explain to a "Bog standard beer drinking sport loving Male" how do they keep the secret of "Everlasting Youth".

I watched all the original x-files when they were on, loved it all.

This new 6 episode limited run series on Fox every monday night is just plain awful. Couldn't even watch episode 3 because it was so corny, episode 4 was only slightly better.

Gillian Anderson does look good but is still only 47 and has had some cosmetic work done.

If you want the better quality its on 5HD on a Monday at 9pm

I forgot to record on that last night so will be watching on 5+24 tonight also

My first thoughts were "wow time hasn't treated her well, she looks haggered", however I have been doing a complete rewatch of x-files on nexflix over the past couple of weeks and am midway though S2 where she is very young so my opinion may be a little skewed.

Enjoyed that last night

Was the closing theme music slightly different to the original, opening theme sounded the same

Remember, Jimbo - Skully is immortal! Per the episode "Tithonus". Mulder kind of hinted at that in the were-reptile episode.

I think this "season" has been a kick in the arse, what TV has needed, Fringe ending after only 4 and a half seasons. It was the prefect time for X-Files to be picked up as if it never ended in the first place.

X-Files doesn't fare well as Movies, neither did Star Trek/Next Generation. The natures of the shows did not transfer well to big screen. X-Files because of the complex intertwining Mythos, Trek due to it;s large ensemble cast.
