#2111
Well, the screws finally arrived, and I put the brass straps on (see post #2106)...
I made this "range box" to carry all the launching supplies.
When all the launch stuff is in there, it will be fairly heavy... hence the "built to last 1,000 years", construction.
Some archeologist will dig this up 1,000 years from now and say...
"Wow, this must have been someone's range box".
Now I'm just waiting on these, that will go on the "bottom" corners...

And here's the rocket: "Snarky" with it's first coat of primer...
Here's the link for the rocket. You can download the instructions here, also... if you want to see what went into it..

Well, I just did the 2nd coat of primer. I lucked out and had a good day.
60F, 4mph wind... adequate for spray paint.
After it dries, will be the decals, then 1 or 2 coats of clear semi gloss.

I wish I kept up with model rocketry I engaged in in elementary school up to late teens. I was close with a cousin and we did it together but then came motorcycles, cars and racing i was more interested in. Cousin kept up and became one of leading rocket scientists in Europe.
Here's the pic with 2-3 coats of clear paint on the rocket. Unless I see something that needs touched up... it's pretty much done.
I sent these pics to my nephew, who's in the Navy. He texted back... "That's not how you spell USN".
I still have to put the parachute in, but that's all that's left to do.

Well, this is my next rocket...

This rocket has changeable motor mount assemblies. They're held in place by nylon rivets.
