Does it work with only 1 toner (say, just black)? That would be nice so you don't have to get the complete set all the time ($50/color is not so easy in the pocket.. :) )
My Epson printer will not print if I don't have a complete set of ink even though I only print black most of the time.

Got this Android box as a birthday present for a friend.
He barely can afford a new PC for browsing and for watching some videos. He's still running an old and slow XP machine. I hope this will do the job and more (for entertainment).

I have no idea, because it's still in transit. As you say, like yours does, most printers nowadays won't print when one or more are empty, but we'll soon find out!

Wow! What a nice friend you are! :) He'll love Kodi. I put that on my Amazon Fire TV and it's working great.
