    I'm old enough to remember when there was only B&W television shows, and not many movies were in color.

    Forbidden Planet was a big WOW to us.

    And I'm old enough to remember when there was no TV. 1958 was first year of TV in old Yugoslavia and my uncle got one. One station, days only and that one had "Experimental Programing" until '60s. Except for occasional movie it was all going live.

    I remember one of these situations.

    1. There were no commercially available TVs.

    2. We were too poor to buy a TV. I may add apparently my Parents friends were too poor also as I had never seen one.

    I seem to recall reading that TVs existed in the 1920's. I find it hard to believe they were commercially available then though. The first one I recall seeing was probably in the mid to late 1950's.
