I don't remember hearing stereo sound until I bought a stereo in 1970. Before then, live concert or barn dance if I wanted stereo.
Cool!
Alice In Wonderland, and Through The Looking Glass, are my all time favorite books.
My grandfather had a library of leather bound books, encyclopedia, and so on, even though they were costly, he never ever forbid me to read them, in fact he encouraged me.
And the two above mentioned, I must have read five times each between ages 7 and 18. They were the original versions of the story, with the original ink drawings.
I had two ears. So I heard the fiddle, pedal steel guitar, bass fiddle, lead guitar, and singer in stereo.
edit: Oh, and I had, still have some 78 rpm records, of kid adventures. Woody Woodpecker's Talent Show and Bozo the Clown under the Sea ! And the sound track for Disney's Alice in Wonderland. Lost the booklets for them decades ago.
