Life is good, I'm alive and not underneath the grass.

Out of 3 Desktops and about 5 Notebooks, I have only one Desktop and 1 Notebook not yet Upgraded to Win10, both with Win7 Pro. Maybe later when the last of my older software/programs gets updated to run on Win10.

At my age, if I can get out of bed I am good. My expiration date is up Jan 7th 2017. When I told the doc that, he said "we need to talk about that". I told him we talked about it before he took me on as a patient. He smiled and said Okay.

@Emma why do you think you will expire January 7, 2017? I don't mean to pry or ask a too personal question.

If it was personal I would not have mentioned it, I set a tentative date for 80 and recently I ordered the book called Final Exit. That date could change if at that time I am as healthy as I am now. I planned my life since 1960, after I reached a certain age I started planning the end of it. My husband had Az for 4 years before he died and my Mom had dementia for ten years and died at 97. She kept asking "why is it taking so long for me to die". I don't want to end up like that or in a care home. There are many people out there who have made plans, they just don't talk about it.

I had tests done last week and the people I saw in the pre op room confirmed the reason for setting an expiration date. The ages and initials of the patients was on the monitor. The youngest in the room were near 70 and the oldest was 99. Most needed help to walk, one had a seizure while waiting and was taken to ICU and one or two from a nursing home. I don't understand the reason they were clinging to life unless their children were forcing them to or they were very religious. If the doctor found cancer I am sure they would have gone through horrible treatment to stay alive.

Another reason is that I cannot take pain pills and I already have had as much pain as I want to deal with in the last 3 or 4 years...........without meds. My repaired meniscus knee pain is almost gone, the planter fascia is much better, but now I have a cracked bone in my foot, at least it feels cracked. I am doing okay with that. About 3 years ago I had a spiral break in my humorous, 3 breaks, you cannot imagine the pain I had with that. I discussed my final plans with my doctor when he took me on as a patient. No treatment for anything, I am letting nature take me, but I may not wait on nature. He agreed........with a smile.

Ok Emma I understand but I think that if you remain healthy I think you have a good chance you will make it to at least 90 or even 100. I'm only 38 and not in the best of shape either.

I don't think I will want to go on that long, but thanks for the kind thoughts.

Wanted to ad to my post. At my age, it is very easy to get depressed in a situation like mine, but I just remind myself of my age and think this could have happened at 68. I have been lucky because I can hype myself up and feel better. I good book or movie also helps. I am watching the Reba Series and that is always good for an old fashioned belly laugh.
