Few Win 10 questions on the forum

It is interesting to notice that only 3 out of 12 postings in this sample are related to Windows 10. There must be few people using it. I hope it's not a dog like 8.

It is common, for the moment, on all of the Windows 10 forums I visit.
This particular site is, as you know, supported by several alternative subjects, not totally related to Windows 10, which undoubtedly help to populate the daily posts. Not too much of a problem and, optimistically, maybe it indicates, at this early stage, the trouble free success of Windows 10??

Worse scenario for me, being rather impatient, is to come on the forum after a 12 hour sleeping period, and find 4 pages on one thread, as yet unread. Following such a thread through, when I am inclined, shows a large majority of one- liners with comments such as "Thanks for the info" or "I,ll try that".. etc... Against the rules,,, but, because of the large occurrence possibly, ignored.

Wolfgang I do understand what you are posting.

How do you think some get post counts into the thousands.
I do tinker in those threads at times. Not much which shows in my post counts.
Sometime their isn't much new information, good or bad about W-10 so I wonder.
I have read enough about VM not working on my old computer with XP dual boot.
I have read enough about Avast not working. Of course it's W-10 fault.
I read all I need to read about not networking from my tablet when I flying at 30,000 to my sisters ipad to get to my stuff on my server at home.
I do like and read some of the new tutorials. Power Shell tutorials by Kari get more interesting.
All in all when I can't find something about W-10 I wonder from thread to thread.
Sometimes I don't go to this forum for a day. When I come back their is nothing new about W-10.
Today I learned some of the things Enterprise has.
Direct Access got my attention. That could be very important for companies that use BYOD.
I probable will never use Enterprise but things like this are interesting.
This forum is young just like W-10. I'm quite sure it will grow like the Seven Forum if Microsoft makes W-10 adjustable for the mass amount of users they are looking for.
The programs I use are are few but they all work in W-10 so that is all I can report. Which I have.
I do send a lot of Feedback to Microsoft and some of the changes have been made.
I still hate when I go to the Start Flag and Search I get this damn Bing.

@OP, I don't see an issue with that. It's just members having fun and sharing information about the new OS when they need to,

I don't consider it to be an issue. It is just an observation. But I am not sure whether a technical forum is there so people can have fun - at a rate of 75%. I think Jack is right - it's all about post counts. The posts on the 'social' threads should actually not be counted - else the whole system is going ad absurdum. I have seen at least 1 member with a gold badge (5000 posts) who has never contributed a thing.

Could also be a matter of not wanting to post too much about the Preview knowing it's buggy as heck! But, many of us still want to hang out and post on the social threads so we don't miss any late breaking news!
Now, when Windows 10 gets released, I'm sure we'll all be plunging headlong into the issues for real!

I come here practically every day don't always post, which shows in my post count, but I like to keep in touch with what's going on.

I'm running 10 in a VM and have sent Feedback but as I've not installed too many programs on it yet, the ones I have don't seem to be causing problems so no need to be asking questions in the technical side of things.

No doubt when the OS comes out officially I may need more help but I've found that actually reading the forums you can usually find the answer to your problems. :)

It must be an issue to you at least or you wouldn't have started this thread in the first place.
Post count means nothing and it really shouldn't bother you.

    Just my 2c..

Your 2c are wrong. I really do not consider any of that an issue. It is just an interesting statistic and and observation. And you would be amazed how many people consider post count and the associated badges as important. After 8 years on many forums I have seen them all.

One forum on which I have been since 2007 has none of that. Everybody is 'member' (except the admins) and there are no badges or any counts. I think that is a good option.
