They are all compatible, sort of, so far. The GPIO BUS just got bigger and the pinout stayed the same for the first 26 pins so all your old HATS will work on the newer Pi's. Backwards compatible not so much. Mostly because of firmware I think. The shape and mounting holes have changed from the first Pi's, but the last couple have stayed the same. The B+ and 2 B are the same layout.

One thing they could do is remove the Ethernet jack and replace it with onboard WIFI. Make it an option, you pick one or the other when you order it. Running cables these days is passé. Yeah, I know, just use a USB WIFI dongle. That's hit or miss though with the current draw restrictions on the USB ports, especially if you have other USB devices plugged in. It was one reason why I made my own custom USB cables on my bread board rig. All my USB devices are powered from my power pack, not from the Pi.

An actual barrel jack power jack would be nice instead of using the Micro USB port to power it. Or just add one next to the Micro USB power jack so you have a choice. Then let the USB ports use the full 500 MA each.

An onboard Real Time Clock would be nice too. I'm guessing it doesn't have one now because there isn't room. I guess they would have to make it bigger so that likely won't happen. The small size is the big selling point for the Pi, along with the low price.

Have a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year. I'll be latter on tonight. I went for a nice walk in the woods with my dog. Then spent a couple of hours working on my snow blower. Some new parts I ordered a month ago finally arrived. It's so nice and mild outside I figured now's a good day to work on it. I'm taking a little break from it for now, back was starting to get sore. I'll go back at it latter on and it should be all set for the rest of this winter. Just waiting for my wife to wake up so we can open the presents. lol, it will be just her, my stuff that I ordered online didn't arrive yet.

The code is there for 1 through 6, all 6 sides of the dice? You can roll as many times as you like, not just 3 times.
