    in all honesty ,I would love to be able to have a nice drink of rum right now ,, but I just cant have one,,so ill have a beer ,I got one left .

    our power just did a quick flash off and on .
    I just went and made sure I could find some matches and some candles. Just in case. Looking out the window I can see the snow sticking to the trees and weighing them down. It wouldn't surprise me if the power failed. I hit the liquor store yesterday and got a 40 pounder. Then picked up a 2 l of coke. I'm all set for a while. 982mb pressure reading now, that's a low pressure system for sure. Or 98.2kPa if you want metric. Weird that it reads temp in Celsius but pressure in Millibars.

    Just having my morning coffee. I can hear a few snow blowers running. I don't think the plow has been by yet. I'll shovel off my front deck and make a path for the dog to get to the backyard. Then fire up the snow blower. The back deck i'll pick away at slowly over the next couple of days. Looks like heavy snow too.

    My deck is the back breaker for me. 6 feet by 12 feet out front, and 12 feet by 24 feet in back. With a walkway down the side of my house joining the two. I have to shovel it, bit by bit. I have the drift cutters attached to my snow blower. Some snow still falls on top but it helps when the snow is taller than the snow blowers augers. I just came in from round 2. Cleaned the car off and cleaned up what the plow left behind after I was done this morning. My front deck is clear, and the dog can get to the backyard. The rest will have to wait for another day.

    yeah ,I got a 8x16 out back that not going to get fully shoveled ,front one is only 8x12 ,so that's done ,and the driveway is about 100ft long and its all done ,snow was a little wet and firm, poor blower was having a tough time with it ,kept ridding up on the snow ,,I only have a 24 inch with a 203cc , the new one at work is a nice 3 stage 26inch with a 357cc it went right through no problems

    evdev is what I used to make the joystick work, from here, page 2 where it says joystick, https://www.raspberrypi.org/learning...Cheatsheet.pdf

    It has nothing to do with showing the message, that will work without it. Your error is from this line in the code:
    from evdev import InputDevice, ecodes,list_devices
    It usually means evdev isn't installed. Are you launching my py file from python 2 or python 3? If from python 2 that's likely why.
    The way I launch it amnually is to run sudo idle3 & from a terminal window. Then file run TPH.py.
    “sudo pip3 install evdev” installs evdev in python 3.
