Linux users - OPENSUSE 13.2 RC1 out and works 100%

    Hi there

Any Linux users - Opensuse release 13.2 RC1 (14 days before FINAL release) works just fine -- VMWARE workstation and player install on it without any problems plus all the other stuff I've had on 13.1 for the past year or so.

A really good looking release - can't see any difference between RC1 and the upcoming final apart from one mod you need to make to your system to get VLC + codecs to work.

For Packman and libdvdcss add these repositories manually

Use the Factory repo of Packman and the 13.1 repo of opensuse-guide for libdvdcss.

I've put the double quotes around to stop the URL being translated - when you add the REPO's via YAST choose the http button and add the URL's I've listed without the double quotes.

(The community repositories are listed but aren't populated yet in the 13.2 release -- they will of course be available at release date - but the RC1 is looking great).

Windows 10 runs on VMWARE on opensuse 13.2 - no probs.

    Cheers

That is always an issue with running VMware on Linux Distros.

You have to wait for an update from VMware, or scour various forums to try to find a fix.

If possible, always try to install the LTS version of your favourite Linux Distro.

I Managed to start the VM Workstation. Had to compile the VMNet.tar after patching filter.c file. I Think Its not VMWare issue. Anyway its really unstable

I haven't had any major issues using VMware Player on Linux Mint 17 (64 bit).

"Copy & Paste" (between VM & Host and vice versa) has been a bit inconsistent since I updated to W10 TP b9860 though.
