300 MB's of data would equal how many minute's of usage ?
It's not really put into minutes of usage.

For example, your internet provider probably limits your internet usage to some many gigabytes per month. Unless you have unlimited, which is really nice to have. Anyway, cellular data is the same, except it's normally considerably less. highest is normally 4 GB, but most people just get unlimited it they need a lot of data. I however, get 500 MB a month, except this month FreedomPop gave me an extra 200 MB for signing up with them so I had 700 MB for this month.

Basically when it comes to data usage, downloading or streaming are what's gonna eat up your data the fastest. Streaming is the worst. Browsing the web on the other hand requires much less data.

Here's a little calculator you can use to calculate your monthly data usage. Estimate Your Web Usage | Data Usage Calculator

On my plan that is a months worth of usage and another 100MB would cost me $15.00 I turn off cell data and only use WiFi.

No. Not as yet. 8.1 on the new rig for sure, but I may go to Apple, LINUX, or write my own if MS keeps this up: Get Windows 10 Icon - Remove from Taskbar in Windows 7 and 8.1 - Page 3 - Windows 10 Forums

I'm hoping it's something I did wrong, but it disappeared after I performed the tutorial and now it's back.
Oh good grief! I haven't had the W10 icon reappear on either of my W8.1 Pro install, since I removed the update that adds it. But I also went through and uninstalled all the telemetry updates that supposedly make sure your computer is ready for W10. After that, I just watched the next time I ran Windows Update and hid the ones I didn't want. Since then I haven't had any problems. However, I do have Windows Update set to manual so I can check the new updates, before I install them.

Here is a list of the updates I uninstalled and then hid.

    W10 Apps: KB3035583 and KB3021917

    Telemetry updates: KB306878, KB3022345, KB3075249 and KB3080149

Uninstalling those updates has not affected the performance of W8.1 in any way what so ever.
