I ordered myself an unisex california poppy t-shirts from etsy online for s$36.
It's a christmas gift for myself which i wear for good luck/fortune for new year. Comments ?
Isn't buying something online from such sellers as Etsy by definition "not unique" unless they only ever sold one of the particular
item?
If only one of the particular item available for sale, isn't it consider rare item ? I consider this california poppy handmade t-shirt an unique item, since california poppy has been considered a holy plant that bless a consumer's soul. And handmade t-shirt with such printing are
not everywhere for sale be it online or street stores.
Rare - true but not necessarily unique. You might have the last two existing copies and that could be considered rare but definitely if more than one "noit unique".
Unique is a word that gets so incorrectly used.

If you think about it "unique" is historically derived from French / Latin. Un in French means one of course
So if somebody else can buy the same item, it is not unique but could be rare.
Silly but (regrettably) true fact:
Some people use the phrase "fairly unique" which is wrong as something is either unique or not. There are no degrees of uniqueness.
Hell - I even hear BBC Presenters using "fairly unique" which just proves how the quality of BBC presenters has dumbed down.
