Good morning / afternoon folks.

In the mid 40's, best we'll see today is mid 50's. Slowly warming up & by Sun it says we'll have low 80's.

So had a family meeting with the place my Wife is at, the case manager, the PT & OT manager were present. They were supposed to use a special machine to let her walk without putting weight on here foot. So they told the rep at the hosp when she was there. Now they are saying they can't do it for some reason or another.

So I told them all at the meeting "So so lied to us just to get here in here so you could get your cut of the $$$ since she's back in the system, so to speak."

They continued to lay down reasons why they couldn't do it, & asked "then why the hell weren't those reasons mentioned before she got transferred here? Now she's losing out on time for PT she could have gotten if she had gone into a skilled nursing facility & allowed her foot to heal, and THEN come here." I told them I was against here coming to the facility until she was all healed up but since they said that about the machine they had that's what swayed the decision & now they weren't upholding their promise.

They apologized for the "miscommunication."

On the plus side her arm is getting more attention then it did last time, being they are limited with the foot. So that's one good thing I suppose.

Anyway, she's scheduled for discharge on the 2nd, hopefully she can get into a good facility in this area since her foot needs to be monitored.

She's hanging in there, at least the place has wound care specialists & her arm is getting some good OT since they can't do much with her foot.

But she's a bit pissed too being what they said was the reason she opted to go there, to get PT on her foot.

Seems they don't make anything easy for anyone that has to go through this "journey."

IMHO they just saw she was back at the start of the journey & wanted to get their cut of the $$$ while they could. We tried many times to get her readmitted to that place while she was at different places & all were dinied due to one reason or another. Now that she was in the hosp, they were practically begging for her to come there. Apparently that meant promising false treatment options if it meant getting another patient to fill the bed so they could get $$$$.

They tried putting forward excuses like "we didn't know what her state was with her foot injury" & other lame excuses.

WTF do you mean you didn't know? What, you couldn't ask the hospital to send over the up to date records so you could see she what her current condition was?

Like I said, just a damn grab for $$$$ while they had a person who who got back in the system.

Anyway, at least her arm is getting a lot of attention, although I wish her foot was better & she could focus on regaining some walking again.
