Thanks for the link on boot behaviours Bree. The UEFI has certainly gained more complexity than the old BIOS. In the Dells I'm working on there are numerous settings under power and how you want your laptop to charge. Could take several days to learn all the options and then there are the complex settings Mike uses to overclock. You never stop learning.

Yes, it's an odd one. All my other laptops, including a newer UEFI Dell, can see and boot from that usb NVMe without issues. It's just the one laptop I wanted it for as a Reflect rescue usb that couldn't see it! Anyway, all sorted now and it boots fine.

As for Dell charging settings in the bios, I leave all my Dell's set to 'Adaptive (Recommended)' and never had an issue.

Really, the stock market is closed? Weird & interesting. Even the stores don't close all the way on Easter anymore, our local market closes early but that's about it.
